Research Coordinator

Histion is an equal opportunity employer seeking a full time Research Coordinator to join our team.  The ideal candidate will be professional, motivated, detail oriented, have excellent oral and written communication skills, have previous experience in a research laboratory setting and is a person who enjoys the administrative side of research. There is excellent opportunity for advancement for the motivated candidate.

Desired Qualifications:

  • BS or equivalent in Biology or a related science
  • Previous experience (minimum 3 years) as a preclinical study coordinator or research coordinator for research studies focused on Medical Device, Pharmaceutical and/or combination products
  • Scientific or medical writing experience
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member
  • General computer skills including proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Working knowledge of GLP processes
  • Familiarity with histology (paraffin and plastic) and laboratory procedures
  • Ability to lift 25-40 lbs

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates all ex-vivo activities related to ongoing preclinical and clinical research
  • Maintains and updates schedule of all research activities
  • Creates research study folders and other research study documents
  • Works with Pathologist, internal personnel and subcontractors to prepare protocols and research reports
  • QCs research study data and reports to ensure accuracy
  • Schedules QA audits
  • Facilitates SOP changes as needed
  • Maintains research study documentation and archives study-related paperwork in a timely and thorough manner
  • Performs other research-related and administrative tasks as required

Research Support Specialist

Histion is an equal opportunity employer seeking a full-time Research Support Specialist to join our histopathology team.  The ideal candidate will be professional, motivated, detail oriented, enthusiastic, have a strong work ethic, have previous experience in a research laboratory setting and is a person who enjoys the administrative side of research. There is excellent opportunity for advancement for the motivated candidate.

Responsibilities

  • Creates research study folders and other research study documents
  • QCs research study data to ensure accuracy
  • Works with Pathologist and other personnel to prepare research reports
  • Maintains research study documentation in a timely and thorough manner
  • Labels histology slides and prepares product shipments
  • Works with archivist to archive study materials and documents
  • Maintains professional appearance of office; receives calls, mail and deliveries, operates copy machine and scanner
  • Liaises with vendors; orders supplies
  • Performs other study-related and administrative tasks as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Ability to work independently as well as cooperatively
  • Ability to lift 25-40 lbs
  • General computer skills including proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Minimum of 1 year prior research laboratory experience (histology or pathology laboratory preferred)
  • B.A. or B.S. preferred
